Community Led Monitoring Implementation

Community Led Monitoring is an effective tool to improve the quality and access of HIV, TB & STI prevention care and treatment services for Key Populations. After the successful pilot to develop and test the Community Led Monitoring (CLM) tools for key Populations by Health Focus South Africa, SANAC has tasked Health Focus to engage 6 Key Populations led Community Based Organisations (CBOs) to implement CLM in 4 Provinces namely Mpumalanga (Gert Sibande & Nkangala), Gauteng (City of Joburg & Westrand), KZN (Mzinyathi), Eastern Cape (Alfred Nzo) to:

• Assist affected communities in monitoring the quality and accessibility of HIV/STI/TB treatment and prevention services;
• Promote activities that will be led by Key Populations in the community;
• Assist in understanding barriers to access healthcare to key populations and establish recommendations to improve existing services.
