Landscape Analysis of MSM Programs and Studies in South Africa

PSI (Population Services International) has launched a new project that aims to increase uptake of HIV prevention, testing, and treatment among MSM in South Africa by providing messages and services that are relevant and appealing, particularly in relation to sensitivity and discretion. The project will apply human-centred design to co-created services that effectively meet the sexual and mental health needs of all MSM, build awareness of these services, strengthen motivation to seek services and develop creative approaches to measuring service uptake by MSM in ways that do not compromise the desire for discretion. To this end, Health Focus South Africa has been commissioned by PSI to conduct a desk review of existing programs and studies in South Africa relating to MSM.
